Sonia's most recent work includes writing three illustrated bilingual children’s books based on her songs and published by Norton Young Readers, the children’s imprint of the legendary W.W. Norton. 

The first book from the series Books That Sing/Libros que cantan, La Golondrina, illustrated by
Teresa Martínez, is available now. Her second book, Este Año, illustrated by Emily Mendoza, will be published on December 15th, 2026.
