Quiero Que NY.png

I chose New York to be my home and it continues to amaze me every day. I love its energy, diversity, the sense of possibility in the air, and I am proud of the resilience it has shown over the years. This song is for you Nueva York, the city of my dreams.

lyrics:

Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan y el Bronx
Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan y el Bronx

For many generations people have come to this land Looking for a place where their dreams can come alive Someone told us that Nueva York
Offered that and much more
And that’s how we have found
This great place we call our home

Quiero que Nueva York sea mi casa
The land of swing and salsa
Quiero que Nueva York sea mi casa
The land of swing and salsa

In Nueva York you can find sounds from all over the world The Caribbean is alive with its people and their songs
You can hear them in the street
Dancing all over the Bronx
The bodega in Washington Heights
Everybody is sharing love

Quiero que Nueva York sea mi casa...

Le lo lo le lo lai….

Quiero que Nueva York sea mi casa...

My heart belongs to Nueva York
Pase lo que pase me quedo yo
Óyelo tú, óyelo tú, óyelo tú, óyelo
Everything I love is in Nueva York
Quiero, quiero, quiero a mi Nueva York
Ay, pase lo que pase
Óyelo, óyelo, óyelo, óyelo
The land of swing and salsa

English rough translation:

I want New York to be my home

I want New York to be my home

I want New York to be my home

I want New York to be my home

Whatever happens I’m staying
Listen, listen, listen, listen

I love, I love, I love my New York
Oh, whatever happens
Listen, listen, listen, listen
