Colibri Amarillo.png

Sitting on top of a big mountain, a yellow hummingbird came to visit as we were contemplating the greatness of the city below us. We were enchanted by the beauty of this bird and started writing the verses of this song with my jarana.

lyrics:

Cuánto verde tengo para mirar
Cuánto verde tengo pa disfrutar
Los pajaritos vienen y van
Hoy el viento los hace bailar

Colibrí amarillo debes saber
Esta tierra bella te vio nacer
Todas las flores te quieren ver
Pa cantar un son al amanecer

Colibrí amarillo
De plumaje fino
Vas por la montaña
Con tu bello trino

Cuánto verde tengo para mirar
Cuánto verde tengo pa disfrutar
Desde lo alto puedo apreciar
Toda la grandeza de mi ciudad

Colibrí amarillo llevas amor
Lo vas tomando de flor en flor

Así iluminas mi corazón
Todito lleno de inspiración

Colibrí amarillo…

Cuánto verde tengo para mirar
Cuánto verde tengo pa disfrutar
Niños y niñas van a bailar
Con alegría el café con pan

Colibrí amarillo…

rough translation

There's so much green to look at

There's so much green to enjoy

The birds come and go

Today the wind makes them dance

Yellow Hummingbird, you should know

This beautiful land was here when you were born

Every flower wants to see you

Sing a song at sunrise

Yellow hummingbird

With your fine feathers

You fly over the mountain

With your beautiful triune

There's so much green to look at

There's so much green to enjoy

From up above I can be grateful for

The greatness of my city

Yellow hummingbird, you carry love

You take it from flower to flower

That's how you lighten up my heart

Filled with so much inspiration

Yellow hummingbird...

There's so much green to look at

There's so much green to enjoy

Boys and girls are going to dance

with joy the "café con pan"

Yellow hummingbird...
